Two medical students who've been exactly where your child is.
N.C Tutoring is run by Noah and Gevin, a 99.80 and a 99.85 ATAR, both now studying Medicine. We finished Year 12 recently, and we teach the same methods we used ourselves.

I finished Year 12 in 2025 with a 99.80 ATAR (top 0.1% nationally), with five subject scores above 45. I now run N.C Tutoring while starting Medicine at Bond University.
N.C Tutoring isn't generic tutoring. It's the exact playbook I used to reach the top of the state, packaged into proprietary booklets, a five-step methodology, and one-on-one mentorship delivered the way I wish it had been delivered to me.
I don't just re-teach what the school covered. I teach how VCAA assesses content, how to recognise the traps, and how to perform under exam conditions when it counts.

I'm a Monash Medicine student and Scotch College graduate. Through school I became fascinated not just by content, but by how top students think, problem-solve and perform under pressure, in exams and in interviews.
I was ranked 1st in English at Scotch for four consecutive years, finished on a 99.85 ATAR, and hold Medicine offers from both Monash and UNSW. Alongside VCE English and Maths Methods, I run specialised interview coaching for students applying to Medicine and other competitive programs.
My approach is mastery-first: consolidate the fundamentals, then layer the strategies, mindset and exam-readiness that turn a strong student into a top-band one.

How is N.C Tutoring different from other tutoring?
Most tutoring repeats classroom teaching at a smaller scale. We focus on how VCAA marks, SAC-specific strategy, and the techniques that close the gap between where a student is now and where they need to be. The booklets, Memory Mastery, and exam-breakdown materials are all our own.
My child is already doing well. Do they really need a tutor?
Doing well and doing elite are different categories. A student performing solidly but who hasn't broken through usually isn't failing. They've plateaued on a weakness in technique, not content. Identifying and closing that gap is exactly what N.C Tutoring is built to do.
Do the top students really use tutors?
Almost all of them, and nobody talks about it. At schools like Scotch and Lauriston, tutoring is treated like a private arrangement. It isn't announced or posted about, which is why families without one assume the top students are simply gifted. The reality is your child isn't competing against their classmates. They're competing against their classmates plus their tutors.
Isn't tutoring for students who are struggling?
At the elite level, tutoring isn't remediation. It's optimisation. Nobody looks at a professional tennis player and assumes the coach means they're not very good. The coach is part of what makes them elite. The same logic applies to the top of the VCE. Students who work with us aren't getting help because they're behind. They're getting an edge because they're strategic.
We already pay significant school fees. Why add tutoring?
By Year 12, most private school families have invested well over $150,000 in their child's education. For the specific purpose of university entry, all of it crystallises into a single number on ATAR day. Targeted, exam-focused support in the final stretch is how you protect that investment, not an extra on top of it.
Is this in-person or online?
Both. Online sessions run on Zoom with a shared whiteboard and are recorded for the student. In-person sessions are available across Melbourne by arrangement.
What does the 24/7 messaging support actually look like?
Comprehensive-tier students get my direct contact. If something comes up at 10pm before a SAC, whether it's an unclear question, a past-paper problem or a panic about timing, you message and usually get a response within the hour.
What if we start and it's not the right fit?
Any remaining sessions in a block are refunded, no questions asked. This only works if it works for your child.
